Leadership Team

Evaxyx is lead by a knowledgeable team of practitioners who have experienced the evolution of Data Management since the mid-1970's.

Adam Prentis – Managing Director

Adam Prentis is the founder and Managing Director of Evaxyx and remains the driving force behind the firm more than a decade on.  His vision was to create a specialist Professional Services Consultancy focused on helping businesses address highly complex, customer-centric data issues both at the business and technical level. These founding principles remain true today and Evaxyx continues to grow its client base of blue chip, world class organisations.  Adam is a leading light in the Yorkshire business community and in 2007 was recognised with his nomination for the Yorkshire Entrepreneur of the Year.

Adam holds a BSc (Hons) in Management Science (Marketing) from Lancaster University.  Born in Leeds, he now lives near Harrogate with his wife and three children.  He is passionate about exotic classic cars and ski-ing and is dedicated to his work with local and national charities including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Byte Night.

Roy Coote – Sales Director
Roy Coote has spent the last 26 years in the IT business with a specific focus on the Data Management and Business Intelligence sectors.  He started his career with EDS, joining Comshare at the advent of the EIS revolution before moving to Information Builders.  He has driven major developments for large multinational organisations and has spent the last decade in successful business development roles for world-leading IT organisations Sybase, IBM and MetaMatrix (now Red Hat).    Roy joined the board of Evaxyx as Sales Director in 2006 and is responsible for developing the commercial strategy of the business.

Roy graduated from Manchester University in 1986 with a B.Sc. (Hons) First Class in Physics and Computer Science.  Originally from London he has lived for the past 15 years in the beautiful market town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire with his wife, three energetic children and a border collie.  In his spare time he enjoys messing around with cameras and left-handed guitars, with varying degrees of success.

Simon Slocombe – Director of Consulting

Simon Slocombe has spent most of the past 15 years in and around large business transformation projects, apart from a short but lively career break teaching in Inner London.  He spent the early part of his career working for integrators such as EDS and ECsoft, leading architectural teams in mergers and acquisitions, mainframe refactoring, and object orientated developments.  Since joining Evaxyx in 2006, he has spent time working large FTSE100 companies as well as with software vendors in the MDM and Data Governance arenas, and is a regular speaker at trade events.  Simon is responsible for the strategic direction of Evaxyx’s  consultancy team.

Simon graduated from Cambridge University in 1994 with a BA (Hons), specialising in 19th Century European Scientific History.  Now living in Glasgow with his wife, Simon has continued his interest in all things ancient, participating in a number of research projects on the Western Front and public memorialisation.
